Updated Zombie Piranha Poster

A quick update for 2017

Things are moving forward with more book and illustration projects coming together for 2017. I've also been working with Rich who has made great progress with bringing together a new more arcadey version of Zombie Piranha. I will post more updates and progress pics on the Putty CAD Games page here. We're aiming to have a fully playable version for the Leeds Games Expo in April.

I'm proud to once again be a judge and ambassador for Children's Reading Festivals UK. http://www.childrensreadingfestivals.com/ please check out the website for more details and if you have children make sure they check out the Poems and Pictures Poetry initiative created by Christina Gabbitas which is now in it's fifth year! Make sure you tell their teachers too, as the best poems will appear in the next volume of Children's Poems. The topics this year are Seasons and Climate Change.

I will also be attending the Selby children's Reading festival on Saturday 25th March. Please come along if you want a signed copy of my children's book A Knight Before Christmas. Click on the image below to visit the website.

New book for 2016 - Dinki - Mount Boom

Started the new year with a new book. I had the idea for Mount Boom a while ago a tale where the valley where Dinki lives and the local nursery for dino eggs is threatened by the volcanic eruptions of Mount Boom. As if that wasn't enough to contend with, could there really be fire breathing monsters beneath the mountain?

I'll be releasing new panels for the story every Friday in 2016 to keep the book moving and allow time for my other work, so there should be around 2-3 pages a month.

Keep track of the posts on twitter via @DinkiDinosaur, here and on the Dinki Dinosaur facebook page.

As the new year started on a Friday, I posted the first panel online with an updated cover.

I hope you and your loved ones have a really fun 2016!

;) Ric

Here's a bit more info if you haven't seen it yet:

I've just launched an indigogo for my new children's rhyming picture book! The book is a story about Santa and friends, when the North Pole gets an unwelcome visitor in the shape of a fire breathing dragon he must find a brave knight to save Christmas. The book will be FREE to download on 19th DEC (2 weeks) but if you donate just £1 you can get a name in the back in time for Christmas. I'm also offering the page sketches as higher rewards! The book will be released as a DRM free PDF and would make a nice present on a kids tablet etc! MERRY CHRISTMAS! ;) Ric https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/a-knight-before-christmas-a-rhyming-picture-book/x/2455796#activity

Share Some Secrets - Book Cover Art Mockup

Here's the mockup to the new book by Christina Gabbitas - Share Some Secrets. A story about good and bad secrets which helps parents and teachers to discuss child safety issues from a child's point of view in a family setting. The book is written in a subtle way so that children can read it and share it with their friends.

You can still help to get the book launched through kickstarter and gain various rewards including signed copies and a credited acknowledgement in the back of the finished book. Please follow Christina @poemspictures and myself @cartoonsbyRic on twitter for more updates.

RIC A DOODLE DOO

I’m Doo Doo Doodling something funny for money for Red Nose Day 2013  to raise cash and change lives both here in the UK and in Africa.

To make it more fun I joined the celebrity Sarah Millican's team via Twitter, in an attempt, along with others, to raise a million pounds towards the total!

Every time my total reaches a multiple of £10 I am drawing a "doo doo" doodle cartoon and posting it to my page!   Lets DOO DOO this! #twittermillion #twittermillican

I've already raised £100 and here are a few of the Doo Doo Doodles:
